Table of Contents

Zinc flake coatings offer a very high level of corrosion protection in various combinations.

In our surface treatment center in Alpnach, we coat on modern production facilities with many years of experience in centrifugal immersion and various spraying processes.

We offer a wide range of different coating combinations. The application decides whether with a silver or black surface. The zinc flake coating with an integrated lubricant can also solve a tribological challenge for you.

Applications:

  • Fasteners
  • Springs
  • Stamped and bent parts
  • Clamps
  • Brake components
  • Cast and forged parts

Properties and advantages:

  • Inorganic, silvery base coat
  • Excellent, cathodic protection against corrosion
  • Defined and constant coefficients of friction, even after multiple tightening
  • Very good adhesion
  • Decorative appearance
  • No hydrogen embrittlement
  • Free from dangerous heavy metals such as Cr(VI), cadmium, cobalt, lead or Nickel

Corrosion resistances

Resistance and salt spray test

720 hrs / 1’000 hrs / 1’500 hrs

The corrosion protection to be achieved according to ISO 9227 (neutral salt spray test) and the layer thicknesses to be achieved depend on the geometry of the parts, the base material, the pre-treatment and the coating method.
